“What a fantastic experience we had walking around! Great fun! The story is amazing! Well done! ”

Launching 20th March (locations Confirmed 1st March) 2023
In Springtopia the animals are having their annual art competition. They want you to judge it for them and they’ll reward you if you do!
Visit all of the eggs in your area, guess which animal painted each one and scan the QR codes to reveal the characters in AR.
Each character will let you a take a selfie with their animal costume on… if you can complete a challenge! Once you’ve completed them all, you’ll be able to download the full story as a free ebook.
What is a Storytrail?
The storytrail is an experience where players visit 10 Christmas present artworks in shop windows, each with a unique QR code to scan. Players collect the presents, make story choices and reveal the Christmas Imps, that are hiding inside, in augmented reality (don’t forget to take selfies with them).
Once you’ve collected all 10 digital stamps, you’ll be able to take a selfie with a digital prize badge ‘pinned’ to yourself. Not only that but you’ll then win a free, digital fun pack of activities to do when you get back home.
How Does it Work?
The trail works by utilising contactless QR codes, without the need for players to download or sign up to anything. The trail consists of 10 story-points with embedded QR codes.
How to Play:
1. Find your location (location list going live March 1st).
2. Learn how to play and see your local map.
3. Visit all 10 by scanning their QR codes, choose how the story evolves and see the characters in AR.
4. Once you’ve visited all of the stops you can take your prize badge selfie and download the free, digital funpack.
Test the Augmented Reality on your Device
Before setting off on the trail we advise you to try out the AR functionality of your phone. Most modern smartphones do have this capability now but there are some that still don’t support it. From a smartphone only, click on this link or scan the below QR code to try it out now.
If you don’t see a ‘see me in AR’ button on the next page then it’s likely your phone doesn’t support AR yet and you’ll need to use an alternative device for this element of the trail.
